Client Service Representative


NOVEMBER 2019 – Oly Float & The Soul Space – www.olyfloat.com – is seeking a part time customer service rep to discover mastery of Floatation Therapy and Sensory Deprivation. You will assist in the day to day operations of a Float Center, including routine customer care and center management tasks such as checking clients in, answering phones, booking appointments, cleaning, managing water chemistry and tidying/restocking rooms between floats. You’ll be handling tasks not just for Oly Float, but for our entire center, The Soul Space, greeting and managing customers of our massage, craniosacral, sauna, intuitive counseling clients.

The position will also include excellent conversation with customers and our staff of float guides and healing arts practitioners about the fascinating world of consciousness, meditation, zero gravity, health and wellness, neuroscience, and all things relating to sensory deprivation.

Schedule

We receive bookings from 8am to 10pm every day.  You must be available as early as 7am and as late as 11pm/midnight, depending on the day.  Most shifts are 7.5 hours in length.  We are specifically seeking coverage on weekends, which may be an opening shift on a weekend day, or a closing shift.

Qualifications

No specific prior qualification is required, though good customer/client service experience is useful. We’re more interested in personality than specific job experience.  We are looking for people who are reliable and professional, friendly, articulate, and willing to work hard.  All of us at Oly Float have a relaxed and healthy disposition; this is key, as our entire model is based on relaxation and health, so we are seeking staff who fit a similar description.  You should also have a hunger for learning about floating and sensory deprivation. You must be adaptable and calm, as you will be working with a diverse clientele who expect a premium level of customer service.

Compensation

Our compensation package is a combination of base hourly pay starting at $12.50 per hour ($13/hr in January 2020) and regularly staying ahead of Olympia’s phased transition to $15/hr; a robust commissions structure on sales, and a unique set of benefits:
